Imagine lying on the beach in Thailand. Crystal clear waters. White sand. The sun shining on you. The exotic aromas, foreign languages around you… And people. Lots and lots of people. No space to place your towel, no peace and quiet, just noise. Followed by a boat ride with 56 of your fellow tourists.
This is the scenario at so many beautiful places.
What we aim to do at TailorGo is to discover the picturesque, hidden and truly interesting parts of the world. With a local person to prepare an itinerary for you, using your likes, dislikes, budget and interests, a completely original and tailor-made itinerary will be created just for you.
Did you know that there is a tiny cafe in the centre of Rio de Janeiro hidden inside a clothes shop? And that there is a small beautiful garden in St Petersburg called the Sunken Gardens, with cascades and amazing plants? And a Bar in Mumbai that constantly changes the prices of its drinks according to how many people order it?
A trip just for you. According to your interests and your budget. Hate museums? Don’t go! Have kids, plan a trip that they too will enjoy! This is TailorGo.
TailorGo was born on the beaches of Thailand. Dora, our co-founder, found herself on one of these boats with 56 people and wondered whether the time, money and distance she travelled was going out the window. How could she find herself in the small peninsula of Railay, one of the most beautiful destinations in the world, and not be able to discover and explore it without a crowd.
And that’s when the idea hit her, because even if we had had the time to do a proper research before hitting the road, we wouldn’t have been able to sort through the sheer amount of content available online. So, what if I had an option to get a local person to plan this trip for me? And what if we created a worldwide community of travel planning experts, so that this scenario could be avoided for any traveler?
Dora and Paolo teamed up and created the magic that is TailorGo, a place that connects fine travelers with local itinerary crafters. Paolo put together the financial side and the infrastructure, and Dora added in the magic. Both of them are born travelers and are passionate about seeing the world, from an authentic point of view.
A lot of love, time and effort has gone into creating the community of TailorGo. Breaking through the traditional barriers of travel agents printing out standard itineraries, booking the same tickets to the same locations, TailorGo has racked up a massive amount of interest and all over the planet. Within a couple of months of launching the idea we have received a record number of applications and visits, building so far a community of over 150 planners, designing trips in over 50 countries around the world, and covering more than 15 languages. And it’s growing by the day.
Being people-centric is at the core of the company’s values. We rely on technology to allow travelers to search and choose their planners, and we encourage direct communication to ensure that the itineraries are as tailored as possible! We believe in authentic and unique travel plans, which is why we recruit only planners who live locally.
The quality of our itineraries is our greatest priority which is why we select, interview and are in touch with our planners to ensure that they share our values and commitment to excellence. Our travel planning app is the added value of our service – it provides you with all the local knowledge at your fingertips!
It’s time to let go of the traditional, old fashioned way of travelling – do something new, original and completely bespoke! It’s your world, your dreams, your adventure. Do it your way.
