I dined in the resort’s fine-dining gem, Samsarn, where Northern Thai, Lao and Burmese flavors converge in stunning presentations. Following the waitress’s recommendations, I savored dishes like Chiang Rai black rice, seared king scallops with lemongrass salsa, wagyu pho with bone marrow and chilli brioche and buffalo cheek khao soi with coconut foam. Each plate was a perfect balance of elegance and authenticity, reflecting the culinary richness of the Golden Triangle.
Sala Mae Nam, Northern Thai Cuisine With a View
For breakfast and lunch, I visited Sala Mae Nam for a magnificent buffet of tropical fruits, international favorites and live cooking stations. The terrace overlooks the valley below,and the menu features fresh, organic ingredients sourced from the Royal Project, a local initiative supporting sustainable farming and hill tribe communities.
