Blue-winged Mountain Tanager Gets Photo-bombed By Red-headed Barbet

Birding the KM 18 area near Cali, Colombia offers many species of birds to see and fincas (farms) to bird from. The birds are wild but always game to accept a handout. The Blue-winged Mountain Tanager was happy with the offering but not thrilled that the female Red-headed Barbet was about to crash his party. Although field birding is especially exciting as you never know what you will see, birding at the fincas is a much better way to get a clear look and clear click of some extraordinary birds.
