Family Timeshare Stay at Disney’s Bay Lake Tower
In my family, it’s an annual tradition to visit Walt Disney World. The parks are great for the wide range of ages in our family, and it’s a place we can all enjoy together.
For me, the hardest part of each visit is trying to find the right place to stay. This last year was no different, except that I might have found the right spot to book for years to come.
This year, we decided to stay at Disney Vacation Club’s newest resort, Disney’s Bay Lake Tower, which is located in the Contemporary Resort and next to Magic Kingdom. Disney’s Bay Lake Tower is one of the many timeshare complexes it offers at an affordable price.
As adults, we loved that Disney’s Bay Lake Tower was within walking distance of the park, allowing us to go back and forth at our leisure and get the kids back for naps in the afternoon.
While the purpose of our last trip was to visit the Magic Kingdom, we also enjoyed our time at Disney’s Bay Lake Tower. The kids played on the beach at Bay Lake, and a few of us even attempted some waterskiing.
Disney’s Bay Lake Tower offers condominiums ranging in size from studio to 3-bedroom villas, and provides all the amenities needed for a comfortable family stay.
Each villa includes a full kitchen with modern appliances for those early morning family breakfasts. Separate bedrooms provide that all-important adult time, and each room has a flat screen TV so everyone can watch something different.
I appreciated the washer and dryer that come standard with each villa, allowing us to pack less, and keep the kiddos in clean clothes.
The onsite kitchen meant that we could cook our own meals and save some money. Since Bay Lake Tower is right next to Disney’s Contemporary Resort, we often made regular trips across the Sky Way Bridge for shopping and to get a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants there.
What I enjoyed most was the resort’s expansive “Top of the World Lounge” on the rooftop, which turned out to be a great place to view the fireworks show at Magic Kingdom. The rooftop lounge is accessible to Disney Vacation Club Members and guests staying at the resort.
While it was just a quick walk to the park on foot or by monorail from the nearby Contemporary Resort, the kids loved watching the fireworks show from our resort while in their slippers.
Our week at Walt Disney World went all too fast, but we’re already looking forward to going back. Next time though, we may try one of the other Disney Vacation Club resorts near Walt Disney World, just to see what else it has to offer.
