Perfection at Las Torres
"The Three Towers" or Las Torres, a highlight of the W Trek in Torres Del Paine, Chilean Patagonia
January of 2023 I was fortunate enough to join a group of 10 women hiking the W Trek. On our first day, we were blessed with weather perfection, and had this stunning backdrop reward after a hot hard hike upward. Patagonian weather can be brutal, this day was unbelievably kind, and I remember experiencing a quiet moment of absolute awe at first glimpse of this view. I took this photo not long after, and then hundreds more. There were a great number of people gathered at the top taking it all in, so this was a rare shot with not another soul in the picture, just raw surreal beauty. Still confounds me that I saw it in person.
