The Deer Family
Panna National Park, India
During my morning safari in this park, I encountered several species of animals of which the spotted deer was the most dominant. As they cannot be missed in the Indian wild, their sight may cause some boredom especially if you are looking for the elusive tiger or leopard. But when the deer form a herd and position themselves under trees, they create a paradise-like scene. Their hues matched perfectly with the surroundings and I asked my jeep driver to stop for a few minutes until the herd had had enough of me.
