Meg Austin (Trees in the Wind: Czech Republic’s Šumava Mountains) is a lifelong resident of North Carolina and a 2006 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a degree in Classics. She ran varsity track and cross country for the Tar Heels, and is now studying in the Czech Republic on a Fulbright scholarship.

Sandra Miller (A Change of Heart: Au Revoir Paris, Hello Prague) spent her 20s traveling around Asia and Europe before settling in Boston with her husband, Mark. Since Mark spent his 20s getting a Ph.D., he still goes green when she says things like, “One time when I was snorkeling in the Philippines ... .” Now they travel the world together with their two young children who like the museums, but remember the ice cream. |
