	Kam Jean Gan (Escape from the City: Singapore Bus Ride) is a teacher who enjoys learning, especially about different cultures and places. She’s trying to stop being a couch potato, so she has taken up running. She will be taking part in a 10km run in August. Her goal is to complete the run without inflicting any serious bodily harm to herself.

	Edward Readicker-Henderson (Arctic Adventure: Paddling Alaska’s Noatak River) is currently working on a book about quiet places. He’s written for publications ranging from National Geographic Traveler to Sierra, and has been shortlisted in Best American Travel Writing.

	Dori Saltzman (Ridgetop Rangeland: Romania’s Piatra Craiului National Park) left the United States in 2003 to do a little traveling. During her travels she met her husband in Romania, where she now lives and works as a freelance writer.
Brasov, Romania
	Julie Skurdenis (Beyond the Canal: Panama’s Colonial Capital) has been meandering around the globe for the past 37 years, 22 of them as a travel journalist. She has served as travel editor for Archaeology Magazine, and as a columnist at International Travel News. Julie lives outside New York City with three rambunctious felines.
