Thank you for your interest in Go World Travel Magazine. Our mission is to provide top-quality writing that will not only entertain, but inspire our readers to explore the world for themselves.

Go World Travel provides ongoing content that goes beyond the usual articles carried in newspaper travel sections. We want to know more than how to get to a place or what to do there.

Tell us about the people who call this destination home, the treasured regional customs, or the places where locals hang out. We want to smell the aromas, taste the food, explore the streets and walk down hidden paths. Go World Travel aims to help our readers experience a destination.

Please review our magazine. You can sign up for a free online subscription by clicking on the upper right hand “subscribe” button on the website. Go World Travel magazine is written from an international perspective. More than half of our readers are Americans with incomes of $50k+, but readers also include English-speaking travel lovers from all over the world.

The features of Go World Travel fall under categories such as: World Spotlight – a main destination piece that focuses on one particular place in the world; Fascinating People – an article profiling a person of interest in any part of the world; Eco-Travel – trips that focus on environmental awareness; Off-the-Beaten Path – a special find that many travelers would never see; and It Really Happened – a first-person essay on a crazy, heart-warming or entertaining tale of life on the road. We’re looking for honest, down-to-earth descriptive writing. We're not interested in a laundry list of things you saw and did; rather, we look for vivid descriptions, lively anecdotes and straightforward language that shows a sense of curiosity and interest in the destination.

A brief sidebar listing helpful links and directing readers where to find further information should be included. Feature word length is 800-1200. Pay is between US$ 35 and $50 upon publication for nonexclusive online rights to text and accompanying digital photos. Reprints will be considered. Please list where and when the article appeared.

Department pieces are 500-900 words in length and include the following: Short Trips – a short piece on a side trip that could be taken in any given destination (ie. museum visit, hike, boat excursion, etc.); Where to Hang Your Hat — review of a unique resort or hotel; Reflections — thoughtful commentary. Department pieces pay US $35 -$40 upon publication.

The magazine is very visual, and photos are important. Please scan photos at 200 dpi and send via email. If you do not have your own photos, please suggest a tourism office that might be able to provide them.

Submitting articles:  We accept only stories from trips taken within the last two years. Before sending in your story, please fact check so it's up to date. Due to the volume of submissions, we cannot reply to every submission. If accepted, the managing editor will contact you.

• Article location in the e-mail subject line
• A completed manuscript
• Word count
• Brief author biography
• Whether images are available

Please submit the photos to photos@goworldpublishing.com and include the following:

• Article location in the e-mail subject line
• 4-8 high-resolution images
• Captions
• Credit information

A few things to keep in mind:

Accuracy: Ensure all names are correctly spelled. If you are aware of any symbols over letters, please include these in your submission. Phone numbers, addresses and websites should be double-checked for accuracy.

Conversions: Please include metric conversions (or vice versa) in parenthesis, after any measurement; i.e., 50 miles (80 km).

Submitting photos: Please send 4 to 8 photos to photos@goworldpublishing.com with the story location in the subject line and caption and credits included. Photos should be 200 dpi or larger. If your submission is 10 MB or larger, please send images in multiple e-mails.

If you are including images taken by someone other than yourself, please state whether you have been granted permission to submit the photos with your story.
